Inspiration - Reflections

A lot of time at the minute is being taken up by work for my course, and while this will continue to be my main focus for the next 6 months (at least), at some point I fancy doing some stuff for myself. If it ties in with what I'm doing on my course all the better. So over the last few days I've been doing a little bit of digging into things I'd like to try.
I found that the last module we did (Incident Room) was really interesting, especially the storytelling side of it so, I thought I'd look at doing some more of those types, and that was when I found a set of images created by American photographer Tom Hussey. As soon as I saw them they struck a chord as there was a definite story behind each one, as the idea is to have someone older looking into either a mirror or some reflective surface, and seeing a "young version" of themselves, hence the title "Reflections"

The series, a winner at the 2010 Communication Arts Photography Annual, was used for Novartist’s marketing campaign for the Exelon Patch, a therapy patch used for the treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease. In the photos Hussey captures moments of his elderly models going through a normal routine while their past reflection, as attractive young men and women, look back at them through the mirror, reminding the elder version of the lives they once had.
